DJs who stream on Twitch… how are we feeling about the news that DJs will soon have to share fees for music licensing?!

DJs, streamers, musical creatives👇🏽

✅You are more than your likes, comments, and gigs.
You are providing a vibe that is uplifting the world one listener at a time, so keep doin your thang.

✅ It’s OK to make mistakes…That’s where the learning comes from. The best DJs, artists and producers started exactly from zero. They were all beginners once too.

✅ You don’t need the fanciest or newest gear to start but you DO need a passion for music that will keep you going in the tough times. XO 💋

I do walking DJ sets with my portable rig. I take a lot of sh*t because “Suat already does that”.

I don’t care. I’m gonna keep doing them, and I invite all the DJs to try it because it’s super fun, music should be shared, and providing good vibes and joy to the world is something that I care about deeply.

I made a gear list to help anyone who wants to try it, because…. NO GATEKEEPING: lavonda-rocks.ck.page/gear-list

Dan Clancy, CEO of Twitch just laid out the best way to grow from his interview with Karat........

“The best way to grow on Twitch is collaboration with other streamers,” Clancy explained.
He elaborated on this point, saying that consistency alongside collaboration is key to building an audience on Twitch.

With this in mind, what is ONE WAY you can foster collaboration and/or community this week? Need some ideas? Here are a few:

✅ Joint Streaming Sessions: Team up with other streamers for co-streams, sharing audiences and providing varied content! I still want to use "Stream Together" to take advantage of this opportunity!

✅ Content Collaborations: Work together on creating social media content together, leveraging each other's strengths and audiences. I do this often with my "stalker cam" strategy!

✅ Cross-Promotion: Engage in mutual promotion by featuring each other's content, hosting each other's streams, or shouting out on social media platforms to help grow each other's follower base.

✅ Charity Events: Organize charity streams where you and your community raise funds for a cause. It fosters a sense of purpose and teamwork!

✅ Community Spotlights: Regularly feature community members or content on your stream. This could be showcasing fan art, highlighting a viewer's achievements, or sharing content they've created.

I send stuff like this every week in my newsletter! Click here to join: lavonda-rocks.ck.page/newsletter

Get AI to do the Heavy Lifting! 👉🏼 In this video I recently uploaded, I show you how to refine a prompt in ChatGPT to help you come up with some really good content ideas. I could not believe how this gave me ideas, a script, hook, and put it all in a table! www.youtube.com/shorts/mIKe9l...

I made you a FREE Tracker! All of the top streamers have a system to set goals and monitor progress. With that in mind, here's a simple system for setting and tracking goals:

✅ Define Specific and Achievable Goals: Begin by setting clear, specific goals. Whether it's increasing your follower count, enhancing viewer engagement, or improving your streaming quality, make sure your goals are measurable and attainable. For example, aim for a specific number of new followers per month or a consistent streaming schedule and commit to the days and times.

✅ Utilize a Goal-Tracking App or Spreadsheet: Employ digital tools like Trello, Asana, or a simple spreadsheet to track your progress. These tools can help you set milestones, monitor achievements, and stay organized. Regularly update your progress against each goal to visually track your journey. I have a tracker that I'm happy to share with you. It measures followers, subs, CCV and revenue monthly! Here it is: lavonda-rocks.ck.page/c09369aa5c

✅ Regularly Review Twitch Analytics: Twitch analytics are invaluable for tracking progress. After each stream, review metrics such as viewer count, follower growth, and engagement rates. This data will help you understand the impact of your strategies and guide your future decisions.

✅ Set Weekly or Monthly Check-ins: Dedicate time each week or month to assess your goals. This practice keeps you accountable and allows for timely adjustments to your strategies. Reflect on what's working, what isn't, and how you can improve. I always have a reminder set for each month to "check in" and reflect on what is working and what needs help.

✅ Engage Your Community for Accountability. Share some of your goals with your audience. Their support can be a powerful motivator. For instance, if you're aiming to host special events or increase streaming hours, making these goals public can encourage you to stay committed and keep your community involved. Every year, I post my goals in the Discord to ask my community for help! Try it in 2024!
