Ingenuity First Test Flight has been reschedule to no earlier than April 14.
During a high-speed spin test of the rotors on Friday, the command sequence controlling the test ended early due to a “watchdog” timer expiration.
The watchdog timer oversees the command sequence and alerts the system to any potential issues. It helps the system stay safe by not proceeding if an issue is observed and worked as planned.
The helicopter is still safe and healthy.

The #MarsHelicopter will drop soon! It is currently being charged to 100% by the #PerseveranceRover. Once it's no longer connected to the rover, the craft must survive surface temperatures down to -130ºF (-90ºC) on its own. The charge will help to power the helicopter heater so that it protects key components such as the battery and some of the sensitive electronics from harm at very cold temperatures.
