The Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, home of the Marist Poll, is a survey research center at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, New York. We measure public opinion at the local, state, and national level. Founded in 1978, the Institute was the first college-based research center to include undergraduates in conducting survey research. Academics remain a primary mission of the Marist Poll and roughly 300 students each semester work on our team.
The Marist Poll regularly works with media partners to conduct scientific public opinion polls on issues and elections. Partners have included NPR, PBS News, NBC News, The Wall Street Journal, Telemundo, and Yahoo News. Our clients include IBM, Marriott, Children’s Health Fund, the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities, Yum! Brands, the Westchester Business Council, and many others.
Our Poll Hub podcast is where we dig deep into our polls, and others, to explore current public opinion.
