Let's gooo, you can only keep 3, which are you keeping?
(It can be 3 each or 3 in total, whichever you prefer to answer it as)
1.3K - 479
💎Day 28 of appreciation goes to Garnet from Steven Universe and her voice actor Estelle💎
She's an awesome character within the franchise. She serves as the grounded one of the Crystal Gems, balancing out Amethyst's wild child personality and Pearl's cautious and often judgmental vibe. She's a fusion between Ruby and Sapphire who contrast each other beautifully.
She's also just a badass. She's freakishly strong within the show, but also gentle with Steven and his fusion with Connie. I'd love to do a deep dive on the lore of her character one day.
1.8K - 64
👍🏾Day 27 of appreciation goes to Gerald from Hey Arnold 👍🏾
He's a pretty cool character and good friend to Arnold. His hair is CRAZY though, but I'm sure at the time people probably said the same thing lol. For such a goated 90s Nickelodeon show, he is a large reason why.
I'm interested in seeing his dynamic with Phoebe play out. In terms of 90s cartoons, there isn't many that I want to visit more than Hey Arnold, so I hope to get around to that sometime soon.
988 - 33
💪🏾Day 26 of appreciation goes to April O'Neil's depictions within Rise and Tales of the TMNT💪🏾
Although I enjoy her more timid depiction within the 2012 show, flipping it to be a lot more bold and bombastic within Rise was a great way to keep her character fresh. Combined with the great animation of that show, she often is the highlight of many episodes.
Now within Mutant Mayhem and Tales, her character shifted again, and in re-watching the movie, she was pretty cool. Her geekier side was focused on more, which included some *lovely* moments of her dealing with her "social anxiety" 🤮
Both versions are cool, both shows are cool. 👍🏾
1.3K - 99
If you had to work the ENTIRE DAY at a busy fast-food spot, who would you want to be your partner-in-crime?

Hey! I'm the AlphaJay of the AlphaJayShow and I cover western animation (Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney) with episode reviews, comparisons (my Versus series) and even re-writing it to make it work better (my How I'd Write series)!
If you enjoy a long-form, honest, informational but also entertaining review style that doesn't rely on popular opinion or misleading click-bait then feel free to stick around. I make videos day on topics that I like, topics that my audience wants, new stuff, old stuff, and sometimes I even like to make videos based on the majority vote here or on my Twitter (@TheAlphaJayShow).
I also cover Top 10 lists, pilot reviews, internet animation, movies, reboots (Would I Reboot?), certain scenes (Scenes Like This) and even covering bigger issues/theories that may lie within the animation community/industry (Open Ended). If you are interested in the animation of today or yesterday or possibly the future, I am the animation reviewer for you!
