Some new additions for the year ahead. Another pack I just finished making. This one has a hybrid of fabrics, including some new materials recently released. I’m happy with how this pack came out and look forward to putting some miles on it this year, along with the OG pack I made and featured in my most recent video on the channel. Also, Lone Peak 9+! A shoe I have been hoping for, for quite a few years now. Similar fit and feel to the regular Lone Peak 9 that I have a video of on my channel, but now with a Vibram outsole! Excited to add both of these into my gear rotation for this year. Hope you’re all doing well and enjoying time out on the trails. Happy hiking!

New year, new gear. My first myog pack project with the Juki sewing machine is in the books! This pack was a labor of love, but a lot of fun to make and I'm pretty happy with how it came out. Not only was this a first pack project, but also my first big project after getting comfortable with the machine making smaller projects.
Internal capacity for this pack is around 35 liters and an additional 10 liters of pocket storage. Made of 100D robic nylon, Lycra mesh front pocket, bottom pocket, and shoulder strap pockets. Roll top closure with buckles and a cinch strap, and a single side compression cord for holding larger items like a trekking pole or umbrella. Some additional loops near the bottom of the pack for additional cordage if desired.
Total weight on my scale is 12 oz (340 g). Pack pattern from Pa'lante Packs.

2025 is on the horizon. As this year draws to a close, l'd like to express my heartfelt gratitude to you all for making 2024 such a memorable year, and thank you for your business and support! I’ve been spending some time working on a few myog projects lately. Today’s mid-20 degree temps are making for some great test conditions for a finished myog beanie project. Super happy with how this beanie came out and the fit. This beanie was made with Polartec Powergrid fabric and Mara 70 polyester thread. Light, breathable, stretchy, warm and quick drying. Total finished product weight on my scale is 1 oz (28 g).

Fall color is filling in nicely around New England. Out on trail enjoying it all, including another incredible light show from Aurora Borealis at camp recently one night. Got out for a Double Seven Sisters Traverse today on the New England Trail and a mix of some side trails to create a 12 mile loop each time around. 24 miles total under beautiful conditions, though the bugs thought so too which made for some great Allegheny 100 conditioning. Only 3 weeks away now from stepping foot on the North Country Trail!
