Born in the beautiful New Mexican desert, Jessica grew up in a pastor’s home with her three siblings. As the child of a minister of the gospel, she was raised to contribute wherever there was a need. This usually took the form of a song. Her first memory of this in action was singing “Away In A Manger” at the age of 4 for a Christmas play in a small West Texas Pentecostal church. As time passed, she learned to lean into her talent, pursuing excellence and cultivating it carefully.
Jessica married Andy the week after graduating high school and delivered their first child a year later. The next 20 years were spent raising and homeschooling their 5 children. She never stopped singing though. Wherever they lived, she found a place on a worship team or in a community choir to use her talent, always reaching for the best within her circle of experience. Finally, as the demands of motherhood grew less immediate, Andy gifted her with an opportunity to pursue singing with more intention.
