Please take a moment to sign this petition and let's raise awareness of the need for renal diets suitable for every cat!

Hi everyone,

A fan reached out to me today to ask for their support for a petition for greater diversity of protein sources in prescription cat food designed for cats with kidney disease. I think this is a great cause, since cats with food-responsive IBD (i.e. food allergies) may not be able to eat cat food with commonly used proteins in it, and this is a life or death issue for cats with kidney disease. I was lucky to find a kidney diet that Mr. Pirate can eat despite his food-responsive IBD, but it took some work!

Thank you everyone for your enthusiastic response to my latest video. To express my appreciation, here is a picture of the YinYang happening on my reading chair at this very moment. The cat committee on internet education is in session dreaming up clever replies to YouTube comments.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Been a little quiet around here since I've been busy with my clinical practice and family in the second half of the year, but I wanted to wish all my viewers happy holidays. As you can see, Mr. Pirate is helping us decorate our little Christmas tree and thinking about all the helpful and educational videos he will star in next year.

Enjoy the holidays everyone! watch video on watch page

I'm doing a live talk over zoom Monday September 26 at 7:20 PST. The topic? History of veterinary medicine from antiquity to modern day. There will be a QnA session at the end, and Mr. Pirate and Clawdia are likely to make cameo appearances.

For those who wish to join, please follow this link to my patreon page where the zoom link will be available for everyone (no need to pay, this is just to keep the bots at bay). If you can't join me live, don't fret! I'll be recording the talk and will post it as videos on my channel.

The meeting is limited to 100 attendees so log in right at 7:20 to get a spot. Let's fill up that room

My Pa did a reading at the Vancouver Public Library from his new children's book "You may call me Lance". I'm so proud of him! Loosely based on the story of Sir Lancelot: https://youtu.be/-ezDcmErAH4

Please show my Pa and Sir Lancelot some love by picking up a copy from amazon: www.amazon.com/call-Lance-tale-Lancelot-Noble/dp/1…

Also available in kindle edition: www.amazon.com/call-Lance-tale-Lancelot-Noble-eboo…

Don't like Amazon? You can get it from Smashwords instead: www.smashwords.com/books/view/1136311

Fantastic children's book illustrated with photos taken by my lead technician Mr. NJ, a painting from my older brother (circa 1979 when he was 8 years old) and a sketch from Cim. Forward by yours truly - a real collaborative project!

I gave an interview to newsweek about why cats are capable of seemingly assuming a liquid state:

Will post a link to a gaming and cats podcast next week. That should tide us over until the next set of videos are ready!

Earlier this month Dr Uri raised over $30,000 for humanitarian charities working to support the people of Ukraine in their struggle for survival.

Many of you asked if there was an animal specific charity you could donate to so I reached out to some friends who have personal connections in Ukraine’s veterinary community. Here is a fundraiser for a Kyiv animal shelter that is struggling to care for an overwhelming tide of injured and starving pets who lost their humans. I have it on good authority that this is a legitimate fundraiser and would like to encourage our clients to make a donation to help care for these creatures who were soneone's beloved companion just 2 months ago.
