Namaste to all!
Vedanta is one of the six orthodox schools of Hindu philosophy. The term "Vedanta" comes from two words: "Veda" (knowledge) and "Anta" (end), which together mean "the end of the Vedas." It refers to the teachings and philosophies that emerge from the Upanishads, which are the concluding parts of the Vedas, focusing on the nature of reality, the self, and the ultimate truth.
At its core, Vedanta explores the relationship between Atman (the individual soul or self) and Brahman (the ultimate, unchanging reality or universal consciousness). The philosophy teaches that the ultimate goal of life is to realize the oneness of Atman and Brahman, which leads to liberation (Moksha) from the cycle of birth and death (Samsara).
