Next weekend, October 25 - 27, 2024, the 80 Years War reenactment event, the Battle of Grol (Slag om Grolle), will take place in Groenlo, the Netherlands. It was unclear for a long time whether I could even attend because of my planned surgery. Since it was postponed pending another medical issue, I'll strut around the transformed town to get some b-roll for the New Amsterdam series. Won't wanna miss the battle in the afternoon, though. Will you be there?

CHANNEL UPDATE!
The final episode of Dillinger went live yesterday, which means...
... getting started on something new. I already announced it a few months ago, New Amsterdam, the Dutch origin story of New York City.
However, I'm first moving house next week! And some 2 months later, I'm going to have surgery. Recovery time is about a month.
I didn't know all this would happen until six weeks ago, and it's been crazy ever since (while also trying to finish the Dillinger series).
So sadly, it will be a while before the next series starts. Keep checking community posts and the social media accounts to keep updated. Or you could sign up for the monthly newsletter coming soon.
Meanwhile, I'm preparing the old series for podcasting, upgrading the website, and a few other Defragged History things.
