The 2023 INOTA Festival was created as a joint initiative of the Budapest NVC event management collective and Centrum Production, guided by the objective of establishing Hungary's largest audiovisual festival focusing not only on forward-thinking music acts, but also light installations, mappings and other contemporary visual works - in many cases as an integral part of the musical performances. Shapes of the past and the future merged into an exceptionally original unity last year in the stunning grounds of the Inota thermal power plant, one of the largest Hungarian industrial projects of the socialist era.
INOTA is back in 2024, this time not as a festival, but as a series of dedicated events: for the first episode we return to the site on 12 and 13 July, bringing the new wave of techno and boundary-pushing electronics to the still staggering Turbine Hall.
