This channel chronicles my journey to become a better cook. Along the way I meet some amazing chefs and pitmasters - and their families, friends, coworkers and communities. Not only do these amazing people take us into their kitchens (or pit houses) and teach me the techniques that made them famous - but they welcome you and me into their homes and communities and give us a perspective on the world that most of us couldn't otherwise see.
One of my heroes - as a chef, a guide, a personality and as a human - was Anthony Bourdain. I sincerely hope that as you watch my videos you see them as an homage of sorts to him. I would never compare myself or my show to him or his, but I definitely draw inspiration there and I hope that shows.
