in the future - u will be able to do some more stuff here,,,!! like pat catgirl- i mean um yeah... for now u can only see others's posts :c
Can you guess who this is... as a cat? Meet the newest addition to your morning routine: The Purring Test, the first game by TED. Designed as a playful way to help players gain insight into how AI and Large Language Models "think", The Purring Test asks, "Can you get inside the mind of an AI cat?" Play it today and learn more about TED Games here: ted.com/games?utm_medium=social&utm_source=tededYTā¦
Ok, this is TED-Ed, so you might be asking, "Is the Purring Test educational?"
Well, as AI-generated images and text proliferate across social mediaā often without identification, sometimes with the express purpose of misleading peopleā the ability to recognize them for what they are is becoming a critical media literacy skill. The bar is shifting so rapidly that itās tough to keep up with (it feels like centuries ago when counting fingers was a viable strategy). The Purring Test is a fun way to track this change, and weāre exploring additional clue types, like video and audio, as ways of extending this recognition to other media.
We also see educational value in learning about the strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of generative AI. For that reason, wherever possible we take a āwarts and allā approach to level creation, where we allow for absurdities and inaccuracies in clues up to the point where theyād be frustratingly misleading.
And finally, we hope that everyone who plays The Purring Test finds themselves eventually wondering āhow does this actually work?ā and that they avail themselves of the educational resources TED (and others) have created about the AI revolution weāre living through. To that end, a few resources:
A playlist of TED Talks about AI: www.ted.com/games/the-purring-test
The TED AI show: www.ted.com/games/the-purring-test , a podcast in which technologist Bilawal Sidhu talks with the worldās leading experts, artists, journalists, and more to explore the thrilling, sometimes terrifying, future ahead.

"When we published our first batch of videos on March 12, 2012, we didnāt know what TED-Edās future might hold. Now, weāre looking back on a decade of curiosity, asking and exploring answers to lifeās big questions, and meeting one of the most inquisitive and supportive communities on the internet ā thatās you! 1,400 videos and 3 billion views later, youāve spent a whopping 166 million hoursāalmost 20,000 yearsālearning on this channel.
Thanks so much for sticking with us this past decadeāfor the obvious things like watching, liking, and subscribing, and for the not-so-obvious things like giving us video ideas, making us laugh in the comment sections, and more. We canāt wait to see what the next decade brings!"
