Hey everybody,
I have been working on and off on this build for a while now, and it has been frustrating to say the least.
I knew it was going to be a hard build, so before I started, I tested out the build/height/stability limits of iron and the new grausten. I thought I had it all figured out, but over the last three days, I have been trying to get the top roof done, and it keeps falling apart.
Here is how my past three days have looked: build the roof, speed up time (timescale console command), and see if anything breaks. If it does, I try to fix the stability. If that doesn’t work, I lower the roof, rebuild it, and try again. From all my tests, I should have been able to make my roof 15 2x2 metal cage walls high, even 16, but for some reason, my 15m high roof will not stay up completely (look at my second picture).
I think this is because the game takes the height of the raised ground into account for stability, even though my lowest iron cage wall is blue (which means it is grounded).
I honestly don’t know what is happening, and it is really sucking the life out of me. I’ll probably take a few days off before I continue building. The inside of this thing is now also a mess because of all the metal walls, and it will not look like I want it to, unfortunately (picture 3).
