Linda requested my favorite biscuit recipe. I got this one many years ago from my amazing mother-in-law, Emalie. It is always a hit. Notice that it calls for buttermilk. You can substitute sour milk (1 cup milk with 1 Tbs vinegar OR 1 Tbs lemon juice ... let sit for a few minutes) for buttermilk. If you don't have cold butter, use any cold fat. I make a huge batch, cut them, and then freeze them. I take the frozen biscuits, put them on a baking sheet, and pop them in the oven. 15 minutes later I can serve piping hot biscuits to my family.
