Poll: should I break my "No Franchise Films During Their First Week Of Release" rule to see and review Beetlejuice Beetlejuice? Yes or no?

People have asked, so here's the answer. Instead of seeing #DeadpoolAndWolverine today, I'm seeing this under-the-radar English folk horror werewolf movie with Kit Harrington. Never heard of it? I'm not surprised!
Currently there are two tickets sold for my showtime. How many of you even knew this film existed?
THIS is why I made that video yesterday. Smaller films are simply not being supported and don't have the marketing push they need to be seen.

Just announced: DARK NIGHT OF THE SCARECROW is coming to 4K along with DARK KNIGHT OF THE SCARECROW 2 on September 10th!
Even better, I recorded a BRAND NEW COMMENTARY TRACK alongside multiple-time Cereal At Midnight guest and TV Movie Expert AMANDA REYES and comics creator/podcaster ROB KELLY.

I've been getting questions about the new Columbo Blu-ray box set and the new 1:78 aspect ratio, modified from the 4:3 original aspect ratio. Below are unscientific screenshots captured with my phone to illustrate the framing. Don't mind the colors or resolution (again--it's my phone), this is only to show the cropping/zooming. Also, these transfers come directly from NBCUniversal, Kino Lorber did not create them.
Top = DVD (original ratio)
Bottom - Blu (widescreen)

One of my greatest thrills during my time hosting Cereal At Midnight has been my talks with Kino Lorber's Frank Tarzi, and I know those informative discussions have been a favorite of yours, too.
Starting on June 24th, Frank can be seen on SHELF SPACE WITH KINO LORBER, a MONTHLY physical media/collecting show on the Kino Lorber YouTube channel, hosted by Alicia Lu! Here's a link to their very first live show. Here's wishing Frank and all the Kino crew a wonderful turnout.

The "Why No 4K" crowd just crossed one off their list.
Warner Bros. is bringing FRIENDS: THE COMPLETE SERIES to 4K on September 24th. Pre-order here: t.co/B9iczBtgjM
This is the most ambitious 4K release from any studio to date: 10 seasons, 236 episodes, and 20 hours of bonus features, including "all new bonus content" (not sure what it is yet).
The $250 SRP for the set seems high, but when broken down to $25 per season for a show on 4K, it's actually not unreasonable at all. That price will likely drop to under $200 by release day.
Friends has MILLIONS of fans worldwide and this could be a big boost for physical media if even a tiny fraction of those fans buy this set. It would be good for the 4K format, good for physical media, and good for ownership in the time of streaming. (MAX paid $425 million to bring FRIENDS to their streaming platform a few years ago.)
Will you be buying Friends on 4K? If so, please use the link above to support this channel!

Did you know that every single week, I post an exclusive episode just for YouTube and Patreon members? This week's episode:
The Energon Universe is here! In this exclusive episode, we're talking about what makes Robert Kirkman's (The Walking Dead, Invincible) new Transformers/G.I. Joe shared universe so cool--and so fresh.
