This 16th century philosopher predicted that we are in a simulation, long before Nick Bostrom and The Matrix films popularized Simulation Hypothesis. This video dives into all of that and about the choices we could make, if we come to know that we are in a simulation.

Imagine you're walking down the street and see a bakery with two delicious-looking cookies left. Do you have complete free will to choose which one to buy, or are all your choices predetermined by past events and your own biology?

HINT FOR THE NEXT VIDEO | April Fools' Day echoes the philosophy of skepticism, notably embraced by René Descartes with his "I think, therefore I am." This day of pranks encourages questioning the value of what we perceive, mirroring Descartes' challenge to doubt everything that can be doubted. Thus, April Fools' invites a philosophical exploration of truth and belief, much like Descartes' own reflections.

This is my favorite book of all time. Three Body Problem by the Chinese science fiction author Liu Cixin. Watch my new video here: https://youtu.be/WVkFCeDNlRo
When I first read this book many years ago, I felt like my mind was forced open to inject new way of thinking. I've always thought it can't be made into a movie or a TV show. It is better left as a book. I've decided to share my thoughts on my favorite book, being made into a Netflix show.

Do you know about the Dark Forest Theory? It posits the universe as a dangerous place, where civilizations hide to avoid detection by more advanced and potentially hostile entities. It offers an explanation for the Fermi Paradox, suggesting silence in the cosmos is a survival strategy. Civilizations fear making themselves known could lead to their destruction. This theory emerges from the science fiction realm, notably Liu Cixin's "The Three-Body Problem."
PS. This is a hint for tomorrow's video. Stay tuned.

FUN FACT: A typical sheet of paper is about 0.1 millimeters thick. When you fold it in half, its thickness doubles. This doesn't sound like much, but the key is that the thickness grows exponentially with each fold. If you could fold a piece of paper 42 times, it would reach the moon due to exponential growth in its thickness.
"We made a film about the man who created the atomic bomb and for better or for worse we’re all living in Oppenheimer’s world, so I’d really like to dedicate this to the peacemakers everywhere." These words stood out to me from Cillian Murphy's Oscar speech. Here's to J. Robert Oppenheimer.
