giggling about a boycott that was created with the intention to stop a genocide is one of the most disgusting things a person can do. this isnāt the time to be snarky and poke fun at people who actually care about others.
but i guess i shouldnāt be surprised that this is coming from someone who has been supporting Israel for months and was okay with their friend calling a muslim a terrorist for simply speaking up about Palestine.
FREE PALESTINE. šµšø RE-EDUCATE YOURSELF. God knows youāve already had more than enough time to.

This weekend I was able to watch the new Five Nights At Freddyās movie and also went to my cousinās Quinceanera (15th birthday). I had so much fun at both events, but even while attending I still couldn't stop thinking about those who are suffering in Palestine. I remember a moment where my sister said ācan you believe weāre here doing thisā¦ while there are other people on the other side of the world who are fighting to survive?ā
While I am enjoying my life living in peace, there are families being torn apart and lives being cut short. Many of those being young children, who were probably so focused on surviving another day that they couldn't even imagine what their fifteenth birthday wouldāve been like. So for me, here are the two takeaways: appreciate every moment I'm given and to help those who are in need in any way I can. We are watching a genocide happen before our very eyes and its long overdue to stop turning a blind eye to it.
For a while I believed that I wasn't educated enough to speak on this and even if I was, what use would it be for a normal person like me when I live in a country who is supporting the problem? The truth is that the less we listen to Palestinian stories and not help in any way we can, the less of a chance they have of surviving. I do not want to stay quiet any longer and I want to make it loud and clear that I stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

I know seeing the endless amount of graphic pictures and videos on social media is a lot, so take breaks when you need to and don't lose hope. Even the littlest of efforts can go a long way. Also remember that the activism doesn't just stop at retweeting and sharing information online, so also try to educate and correct those offline (especially the ones who are more susceptible to misinformation spread by biased news coverage)
We must not let history repeat itself again and not let the oppressors win. From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.
