Why readings?
When reading, the children will

- Understand the written words
- Expand vocabulary
- Recognize some simple Chinese characters
- Become familiar with sentence structures
- Improve phonological awareness
- Increase verbal reasoning and critical thinking skills
- Promote understanding of culture
- Enhance comprehension skills and use of reading strategies such as context clues and picture cues
