I like to show problems and solutions so here is a new one, a friend of mine recently installed his own heater and he done alright but he called me and said help!!! It’s making an awful noise. Soon as I got to his place I could hear it, sound like it was howling out the exhaust I mean a lot of noise and a lot of soot build up in only a few hours running.
I straight away pulled it to pieces to be greeted with this… poor casting from the factory with zero quality control, the actual housing was sat ontop of this at a wonky angle I wondered why the bolts felt funny being undone. 5 minutes later with a file and smoothed out the lumpy bit and now the fan sits flush to the heater and the gasket has sealed.
Fired the heater up and sounds completely normal one happy guy.

The diesel heater and EGR cooler video seems be doing well and you guys have such good ideas and input for the next rendition of the setup, if you have anything you recommend to try drop it in the comments as I super appreciate your clever thoughts 👍
