It's hard to appreciate the size of these wild animals until you have an up-close experience with them, and in our family, only Dad has. We caught these photos on the static pond camera for good comparison. Can't wait to see an elk up close...from a safe distance that is. For reference "boy" is 5" with those boots on and the two rocks on the ground gave us a reference point when comparing the photos.
