Aspiring Footplate Crew, Connor Watson started loving Trains from being a child, starting out with Thomas and playing with toys and models. Now they get to “play” with big ones!
Inspired by footplate crew such as Clive Groome, Joanne Crompton, Jack Dibnah, Mike Dobson and Steve Turner, Connor became the first non binary crewman at Foxfield Railway in October 2023, starting their cleaner training in April of 2024.
In early 2024, Connor helped out at Foxfield Railway replacing the sleepers of old and worn with brand new stone sleepers.
In mid 2024, Connor then started the sign up process to join KWVR and can now be seen hanging around the engine yard at Haworth.
