I'M SO FUCKING FED UP WITH THIS SHIT!!!!
Today, during my usual YouTube crawl looking for independent and borderline artists, I suddenly came across several "Sponsored Videos," I repeat, sponsored, where they were citing "the first musical artists to create their music with artificial intelligence." Can you believe it? Promoted by the record labels themselves.
What the fuck, how can we call these subjects "artists"? Artists of what? What the fuck are you talking about? When you talk about art, wash your mouth out first, you fucking heretics. Art and an artist are something else entirely.
Art is an expression of human creativity and skill, aimed at communicating emotions, ideas, sensations, or visions. The value of art is not just aesthetic or technical, but lies in its ability to elicit an emotional, intellectual, or spiritual response in the viewer. Art can be a faithful representation of the world, an escape from reality, social criticism, or a purely abstract creation. In essence, it is a universal language that transcends cultural and temporal barriers.
And the artist, well, the artist is the person who creates the work of art. They are an individual endowed with creativity, talent, and profound technical preparation in their specific field. Their role, however, goes beyond simple execution; they are an observer, analyzing the world, human nature, and society.
They are a storyteller because they tell us stories and express thoughts and feelings through their work.
They are a visionary because they can see and create what others don't, offering a new perspective on reality.
They are a vehicle, using their technical skill and expressive medium (a paintbrush, a musical instrument, a pen, a camera) to give form to an idea or an emotion.
The artist does not just produce something beautiful, but seeks to leave a mark, to make people think, to provoke, or to move them. In short, the artist is the creative source, while art is the result, the message, and the very form of that creativity.
How painful all of this is... And it doesn't just apply to us who make music. Think of photographers, designers, writers, programmers... All those who transform their abilities into something concrete and real, in its aesthetic purity and originality. I think of all those who have invested money and time.
They want us to train this system so that everything it creates is just a copy of human activity. Do you even realize? If this is the future, I'll stop making music and dedicate my time to something else. Maybe I'll just ride my motorcycle all the time—at least you don't need AI to ride a steel horse. But I'm lucky, I don't live off music. What will happen to those for whom this is their livelihood?
I'll conclude, so as not to be too long-winded, with a message: Dear sirs, you want to make music with artificial intelligence? Well, go ahead if it amuses you, but don't call yourselves "ARTISTS" and stop being a pain in the ass to those who are still capable of dreaming. And yeah, artificial intelligence can do everything, but the ability to dream? It just can't do that!!!!
One last thought: if you come across music where the quality (especially in the percussion) tends to get worse as the track develops, you can be sure it's not made by a human.
Cheers. MP
ps. If someone doesn't like what I think, I'm sorry for them... I'm old, Italian, and used to saying what's on my mind!

The Veil Lifts Tomorrow.
Are you ready to step into the shadows?
My new track, "Decadence - A Veil of Frozen Tears," will be released tomorrow, June 27th, at 6:00 PM CEST.
This isn't just a song—it's a cinematic journey into a world of decay, solitude, and profound melancholy. A dominant, haunting piano melody guides you through a dense soundscape of analog synthesizers and deep drones, meticulously crafted to evoke a powerful sense of stillness and sorrow.
The official music video, a black and white visual narrative capturing a world of indifference, will accompany the track to complete this immersive experience.
I’ve poured a lot of emotion and passion into this project, and I can't wait for you to hear and see it.

And I fall. Not always into a bottomless chasm, nor from a mere misstep. Sometimes it's a sweet surrender, a gentle yielding to the wave that caresses and then overwhelms, to the ineffable weight of an emotion that can no longer be contained. I fall into the deep blue of a veiled gaze, into the unexpected embrace of an idea that blooms in the twilight, into the vast silence that, melancholic, unveils inner worlds. It's a letting go, a discovery of new, poignant gravities, where the lowest point isn't the end, but a melancholic breath preceding the beginning of a different flight, with wings that, weary yet true, unfurl right there, in the instant of the most authentic and resonant fall.
To all my friends (the true ones) who are waiting for my return to making music, especially to dear Pietro, whose music inspired this thought of mine.

The Bell Tolls for Time and Lost Words: A Reflection
There was a time when writing and depth of thought were celebrated. Centuries of culture taught us the value of words and dialectics. Today, with a swift swipe, it feels like we've erased it all. We live in an era that has lost the capacity to contain time; everything is fleeting, and for many, life itself is akin to endless "scrolling." Our current civilization seems unable to pause, to read, to contemplate, to truly listen.
I say this because I've noticed that some, when receiving my more detailed comments or analyses on their music, seem almost bothered by their length. I belong to a generation that still knows how to hold a pen, and perhaps, mistakenly, I believed that being thoughtful and descriptive was the best way to acknowledge talent. But evidently, this clashes with the hurried pace of our times.
I apologize to those who found my words tiresome. I will certainly not stop listening to your music and offering my support, but from now on, I'll limit myself to brief phrases of appreciation or the widely adored emoticons. I don't entirely recognize myself in this "new normal," but it's wise to adapt.
However, I want to reiterate that some of you will continue to see my impressions expressed with the depth that historical human culture dictates. For those still reading (thank you for your patience!), I want to share a recent anecdote. Sometimes I search for "borderline" artists, the ones nobody really thinks about. I found one who was truly excellent: great music, precise sound, high quality. As usual, I subscribed and left my first comment with a brief analysis of why I liked his work. His response? He was bored by an "AI-written comment." I was speechless. I left my like, but I deleted my message and unsubscribed. I feel sadness, because in that moment, the system won.
Deeper thoughts often find fewer ears.
The art of sincere engagement is a rare gem.
I am proudly Italian, and I'd like to conclude with two phrases in Latin. For those interested, feel free to find the most suitable tool to translate them. Regards, Marcus.
"Verba volant, scripta manent."
"Tempus fugit."
