If you're anything like me, you might feverishly straighten up the house when someone says they're coming over to the house. What if you always kept your house clean & ready to receive any guest that might come by?
Admittedly, it's a bad analogy but something that pops into my simple brain when I think about the importance of continuously being faithful and steadfast in the Lord, waiting with anticipation for Christ's return. Always being on guard and always being ready.

There are a lot of faulty thoughts and ideas about God and the bible that would be cleared up if we just read the bible in context. It seems like a hard task to read through the bible until you realize that if you spent just 15-20 mins a day, you could read the entire bible cover to cover in a year.
I pray that you would read your bible and hold fast to what is true.

It grieves me that many churches aren't serious about the centrality of God's word.
If people leave entertained while on the road to hell what's the point?
If you really read the bible for what it's worth, it's entertaining, compelling & powerful. It stands on its own.
I pray there would be more churches where God is worshipped & scripture is being soundly taught.
