Steph Sweet left home at the age of 15, joining her first professional band when she was 17, touring the Underground and University scene, supporting Attila the Stockbroker amongst others. Sweet turned down the resulting record contract as a bad deal and left to concentrate on writing her own songs, whilst working in the music industry as an Assistant Set Designer at Light&Sound Design and as a DJ at the legendary Hummingbird Club.
Sweet fronted a few local bands before relocating to Brighton and taking an extended break from music, writing and publishing her debut novel with an independent London publisher. But a close friend finally persuaded her into playing at his pub and music bit her again, only this time as a sound engineer and producer, trying to master the dark arts of soundwaves and recording.
Then Soundcloud discovered Sweet and made her Soundclouder of The Day. She was number one with Ellen & played on BBC Introducing, before signing to US label, Milwaukee Junction Records
