A story about my grandmother...
My grandmother, Sidonie, was one of the most important people in my life. She is from the countryside in the south of France, and she lived on a farm that has been in my family since the 16th century. I feel more connected to this place than anywhere else in the world, and my grandmother was the human embodiment of that place. 💖 🇫🇷
When I go through deep moments of doubt, I often think about what she would say to me. Everything was so simple with her. I also try to remember that I know where I belong as long as I have this place to go to. My happiest childhood memories are there and it always brings me comfort.

The French-Caribbean soul-funk-r&b artist/producer (now based in Brooklyn) recently announced her new full-length album, Lotus Glow, to be released March 3. Her first album as Adi Oasis, the album is Adi's most personal work to date – and also her most political. “Thematically my new album is fearless, yet vulnerable, and also more political, because I’m a black female immigrant, and these are my truths.” It also features an eclectic range of guests, including KIRBY, Leven Kali, Jamila Woods and Aaron Taylor.
Adi has garnered critical praise from Vogue, Rolling Stone, Wonderland, Line of Best Fit and many others. She has toured globally, appearing with Anderson .Paak, Gregory Porter, JUNGLE, Keyshia Cole, Big Freeda and more, and has performed at Central Park Summerstage, Afropunk, Funk on the Rocks (Red Rocks) and London Jazz Fest. Her 2021 single “Whisper My Name” debuted on COLORS.
