I only had a couple of my close friends give me timestamps last time... You guys have until season 3 starts to participate and save some clips!

Hey everyone!

I'm busy working on Sheenanigans Season 3, but in the meantime, I need your help!
I've been sorting through my Season 3 clip pool, and have a bunch of clips I've set aside that I'm not sure if I want to use...
Everyone has different opinions about which clips are funny or cool, and I want to let you all have some input on this series.

So here's the deal, every week, I will share a set of 50 clips. All you have to do is watch the video, and comment on the video with timestamps for up to 3 of your favorite clips, and I will add those back into my Sheenanigans Season 3 clip pool. Sound good?

Thanks for the participation!

Hey guys, I'm finally back. Hopefully the wait wasn't too excruSHEEating...
Anyway, my break was for a couple reasons.
The main one being that Tears of the Kingdom came out, and I usually spent my weekends playing that instead of working on content lol
There are other reasons too, though.
My life has changed tremendously in the past year, all for the better. But it just leaves me with less and less time to focus on PM.
I've also been less and less interested in PM... I think it's been 3 months or so since I've last played.
At the same time, I've become a bit put off by the PM community in general, and I don't really feel like interacting with the greater community anymore. I'm not going to elaborate on that. Like always, I want the focus to stay on the game.

Anyway, I have a couple of Sheenanigans episodes ready to go, so enjoy the consistent content for awhile.
Thanks for your patience, everyone.
I'll SHEE ya later!

Here's a fun fact about Sheenanigans that some old-school PM players might find interesting, as well as a little life update that pertains to content on this channel:

- So at this point, it may be a forgotten part of PM's history, but at one point there was a Project M series very similar to this one called "Salty Highlights" by Nephiros, aka Bidooof: www.youtube.com/playlist?list...
This series almost entirely shaped my outlook on the game, and inspired me to get into content creation. It was watched by thousands every Sunday during Project M's golden years, 'ending' at episode 54 just a few months before PMDT disbanded.
The reason why I bring this up is because of a comparison I recently made.
Salty Highlights went from December 15, 2013 to August 23, 2015, which is *616 days* or a little over a year and a half
Sheenanigans has been going from September 25, 2020 to September 5, 2022 which is *710 days* or just under 2 years.

It kinda blew my mind to think that my series has been going longer than Salty Highlights did by almost 100 days at this point... I'm not trying to imply anything with this comparison, but that realization definitely caught me off guard lol

Okay now for a little life update
So I recently started working full time again. The pay is great, and I'm really enjoying it so far.. the only issue is that it's an hour commute...
I have maybe 2 hours of free time a day, which I have to split between this channel, PM Nexus stuff (just committed to a new series lol), chores/IRL responsibilities, and leisure... Idk how I'm going to make this all fit together. I've been picking away at the latest Sheenanigans episode pretty slowly, and I managed to get it out, but I guess I'm just letting you all know that this series might become monthly instead of bi/tri-weekly. Gonna be a struggle for sure. Not that I don't enjoy making it, but it's just hard to find time now, you know?
Anyway, thanks for watching my stuff, and SHEE ya later!

Alright, I had my fun. Played a couple games and did some projects around the house.
Time to start working on Sheenanigans again. I'm adding about 170 clips to the Season 2 clip pool.
I'm still processing the clips in the editor, so it could be a week or two before the next episode comes out, but I am working on the series again.
Also during my break, I had some really dumb meme content ideas pop up in my head that I'm not sure I'll get to. I've been inspired by some content I've seen lately, but I don't know if I can justify spending time on those projects lol

If you're curious:
The games I played were Tunic (PC) and Bug Fables (Switch).
I've been realizing that video games aren't as immediately enchanting to me as they used to be, even if I still can get obsessed with them like I used to.

Tunic:
I think "actually difficult 2D Zelda game" would be the quickest summary. It's like 2D zelda puzzling and world design, plus dark souls-y combat. Heavy emphasis on dodging and managing stamina. Even though I can clearly see the thought and care that went into the combat, part of me didn't find it very engaging. Honestly I'm starting to hate the 'action' part of gaming. I've always had very little patience in games, and lately "studying enemy animations" has never been less fun. Not Tunic's fault at all, but it still was annoying for me. Makes me worried that I'm going to be frustrated with Elden Ring.
One part of the game that you also may enjoy that I found annoying was the 'discovery' aspect of the game. There's so many little things that the game purposefully hides from you that you need to discover. Secret pathways, hidden doors, items,.... even some of the basic controls are accessible to you from the start of the game, but you just don't know about it until later. I think some people would find that aspect rather charming and even novel, but I just found it annoying.
It's weird because my favorite games of all time (Outer Wilds and Breath of the Wild) are almost entirely about exploration and discovery and I love that aspect of those games, but I found it more annoying than fun in Tunic. I think not being able to move the camera around matters a lot to me when I'm supposed to be studying the environment. Its hard for me to wrap my head around 2D environments...
I think it's definitely a game worth playing.

Bug Fables:
Honestly this is one of my favorites now.
It's an evolved paper mario game in every way, made by people who know whats fun about those games. Lots of ways to spend money, strategize, adjust difficulty to your own level... just too many things to gush about.
I have about 55 hours in that game and I'm almost at 100%
I like to take my time and read every bit of dialogue in games, and almost every character in the game has multiple dialogue lines depending on your progress. It's insane. Honestly that might be part of why I couldn't get into Tunic as much. Pretty much all of the text in the game is purposefully obscured in some way, making you always feel like you don't know what's going on. Hard to care about the world or characters when I don't know anything about them even past the final boss lol

If you have any other game recommendations for me (that hopefully aren't major time sinks...) I'd love to hear them.
Here are some games that I've played lately that I enjoyed:
Carrion, Maneater, Outer Wilds, Bug Fables, Katamari Damacy, A hat in time.
I think single player games with fun movement options in 3D environments seem to be my thing.

Games I know I would enjoy but don't want to get into yet because I know I'll spend way too much time playing them:
Eldin Ring, Skyrim, Sekiro

Next episode of Sheenanigans is going to be delayed a bit. I haven't been very motivated to work on the next episode lately, and I think it's because I'm a bit burnt out with the series.
We are about halfway through season 2, so halfway through the series.
Overall I'm pleased with how the series is going, and want to keep working on it. I just need some time away to refresh for a bit. No more than a month.
Thanks for your patience

Hey guys, just wanted to get some thoughts out again.

I should be getting Sheenanigans up and running again in the next week or two. Depends on how much I use my free time after work on the series.

I've been trying to organize a couple projects in the background, but it's going very slowly. I'm realizing that I'm just not very passionate about making content anymore, and I'm doing this more out of obligation for the time I've put into all this. All the footage I've collected, and experience I've gathered. I don't think I'd have a good sense of closure if I didn't use it to finish off my last ideas.

I'm going to list off what's going on in the background again:
- Sheenanigans season 2
- Combo contest round 1 behind the scenes
- PM101 Koopa Klaw video for Nexus (tying in with the combo contest vid)

some themed montages
- Agony 3
- Valley Games (Sniping vid #2)
- Project Plus-Sized (super size casual montage)
- The Feeling of Fsmash(?) (Boozer Pls 4)

and lastly
The Meaning of Shee

It's going to be an uphill battle to get me back in the mood for working on video projects besides Sheenanigans again. I have no idea how many of those projects will see the light of day, but that's everything I'm planning.

Thank you for being interested in what I do. It helps me feel validated, and that my work is worthwhile.

Hey, everyone!
Here's a small update for my channel:

- Sheenanigans Season 2 is going smoothly, but slow. Might start up again in August... there's just a *lot* of clips I need to process, and I don't have a much time these days
- Themed montage content is still pretty low priority for me right now. I really don't know when I'll get around to that, but I do have a couple ideas.
- I've been labbing combos for the next PM combo contest. There's a couple fun ideas I'm messing around with. I still want to get out a video about the first contest, but I've been slacking a bit on that. I might try to do it this weekend or something
- Just been trying to juggle a bunch of stuff in life at the same time, so it's hard figuring out where to fit things in. Work is also getting busier, so I have less time to edit at work.

Overall things are okay for me, personally. I hope you all are doing well

Also, just a reminder that I post more frequently on my discord server, and it's a great place to have a chat:
discord.gg/SZFD8mU

I also run a PM Netplay server for more casual-type play if you're interested in that:

Thanks for watching

I'm taking a small break from Sheenanigans for maybe 2 weeks to refresh myself.
Between CotW and Sheenanigans, I'm feeling a little burnt out on volume-editing.
Also, I really hope you guys are giving Sheenanigans a chance. I know a lot of my audience subbed for the themed montages, but I'm putting just as much love into Sheenanigans!
I do have some themed montages left that I want to do, but most of the content I put out is going to be Sheenanigans...
Anyway,
Shee ya later!
