Heading back to the cottage for more gruelling renovation work. En route via ferry across the Irish Sea. Weather looked good on departure but clouding up closer we get to Dublin 😞

As I won’t be back to finish the stone barn roof for a while now due to work commitments, I have put together a montage over the past six months and will upload this video this evening.
It’s been just over 6 months now since we started recording footage for YouTube and I’m still not perfect 😆. Obviously travelling back and forth to the Irish cottage we have only worked several weeks out of those 6 months but I think we have achieved a good amount of work so far.
There was also a lot of work done prior to recording and I’ve included a few photos, which is the best I have unfortunately.
Thank you to everyone that has subscribed so far, your support is very much welcomed, let’s hope I can free up more time to work on the cottage over the next 6 months and improve on the content for everyone 👍🏻

As you might guess, I’m a big fan of uncovering historical treasures, especially at The Irish Stone Cottage! That’s why I’ve been following @detectnician , a detectorist sharing some fantastic content from his detecting adventures around Ireland.
In his latest video, he unearths a “Gun Money” coin, something I’d never heard of before. I did a bit of research, and it turns out to be a fascinating piece of history!

I’ve released some shorts over the past week of the progress on the barn roof and now found a little time to put the footage together of the progress. I’m releasing this current phase in two parts as it takes me forever to collate the video together using my iPhone 😆
Part One, is scheduled for 16:00 today covering the journey to Ireland, emptying the barn and removing the roof.
Part Two, probably this Saturday, and will show the shoring up of walls and concrete ring beam.
I also have lots of clips of finds throughout the week and next steps which I can drip feed in so that I don’t bore you too quickly 😜
