David Roland brings insight, warmth and humour to his work as a writer, speaker and psychologist. He is also the author of ‘The Power of Suffering: Growing through life crises’, ‘How I Rescued My Brain: a psychologist’s remarkable recovery from stroke and trauma’, and ‘The Confident Performer’. He is published in ‘Best Australian Science Writing 2015’ and has been featured in national and international publications, radio and television. David is also a recipient of the Stroke Foundation’s Creative Award, 2015.
Through Compassion in Action, David wants to share how compassion arises, what motivates compassionate action and who is doing it whether this be towards others, from others, or through self-compassion.
