Is exactly what I was thinking during my weight loss journey

Oh no, sugar!🫣

Ahh, carbs! AKA the devil!!👹

Lol there’s so much fear mongering online and so much bullshit out there that I use to actually believe was true.

Recently on a post of mine, somebody commented this silly little line 👇

“carbs turn into sugar sugar helps make you fat carbs help make you fat”🤓

Sure, sugar and carbs, in excess, is and can be a problem. Some people have an intolerance to carbs, and that’s an entirely different scenario.

But this is all about moderation. When you restrict yourself too much it makes it that much easier to binge, rather than finding ways to sustainably incorporate “cheat meals” into the “diet”⚖️

Are you engaging self-control? Are you consuming your sugar at appropriate times?

Donuts are the key to my heart, and I know that I can eat ALLLL THE DONUTS if I really wanted to

But will I? No lol. I know that too much won’t do me any good

But will I still eat one? Fuckkkk yes✅

Why? Because I know that it won’t kill me and it really isn’t going to set me back because I know I’m on top of my eating and training habits/lifestyle outside of when I consume my donut(s).

Typically, I’m eating one right after a long run to restore energy. Or I’m eating one in the morning on a day I know I’m going to be burning more during my workouts than usual🔥

And while doing this EVERY WEEK for the last 3-months I still lost 3% body fat while keeping ALL my muscle mass.

It’s about moderation. Don’t give in to the fear online if you’re trying to lose weight.

Let yourself enjoy the process of getting lean! Have that donut because you’re earning it. Not just because you’re craving a donut🍩

Do the actions consistently that let you stay on track.

Stay in your deficit. Hit your protein goal every day. Show up and do the workouts that help you build muscle. Do the cardio that helps you melt fat.

Enjoy your process and enjoy creating your results!🙌
