A short while ago I discussed writing a song and doing a duet with Jesca Hoop x I have known Jes for many years now x She is an extraordinary artist x We talked of our love for anti religious hymns like Gods Song (Thats why I love mankind) by Randy Newman x
Since our conversation I have been contemplating an idea and over the last couple of days I have written and demo recorded the beginnings of a song with a working title of "Given To Sin" x Have a listen x It is a contemplation inspired by Bonnie And Clyde a couple who were devoted to each other, committed to providing for themselves when society could not. Possessed of love and faith but at the same time thieves and murders. They became Americas most wanted criminals and most famous folk heroes for a while in the Great Depression of the 1930's. The song deals with the conscience and destiny of people placed in desperate situations x
