Our latest video was talking about larp photography with Ben Smith
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Cl9S...
Which is timely as Larpbook is about to do its first Larp event of the year at Curious Pastimes.
I can't wait to share the video with you

Our latest is a retrospective of Wilde Realms Larp. This is something we'd like to do more of. Get a larp creator to talk about what their experience is like and how they form the games for players. It's a chance to not only hear about the larp but get a little what a game designer might be thinking of.
If you would like to make one these please let us know.

Two releases we haven't talked about
The first its battle ready potions for Empire Larp. A really cool idea - creating potions that fit in nicely with aworld view and which look very indestructible
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nGgV...
Then the longest single talk / lecture that I think we've ever published. Its a deeply and often personal look at why larp has issues with racial diversity

At Larpcon we recorded 13 separate videos. Which we aim to get to you as quickly as possible. Due to a glitch I’ve only just been able to assemble all of our raw footage. So, here’s the plan. I’m away taking a break over the next week.
But on my return, it’s going to be all hands to the pumps getting all of these out to you as quickly as I can manage.
If we did a video with you, my apologies for the delay but it is coming out as quickly as I can manage it.

It's time to talk about pillows
That may not make much sense for a larping channel. So here's the logic:
Larp often involves camping out for several days. On top of that Larping can be physically and mentally exhausting. At the end of day you need a good nights sleep to be ready for the next
Lets forget a moment the thing about nobody sleeps at larp. Let's just suppose at some point you will need to sleep.
When sleep comes being comfortable matters and getting a good pillow really helps.
This video addresses that idea. Get a pillow, get a goods night sleep and, have more fun at larp.
It's part of a larger topic that I hope to address more in 2024. And that is self-care. One of my aims for this is to include more videos about the practical side of larping that looks after you, not your character.
Not looking after yourself or not getting the right gear to do things like sleep and eat well. I aim to address that with some practical tips and suggestions. That way we can not only say - that is a cool cloak, or wow that game was amazing. We can also say - well if you set up things up for yourself this way it all gets a little easier.
So that is part of the plan. More larp yes, more tips on how to set things up, also yes.
So here is the link to the video

Our first video on 2024 is out and unsurprisingly its a roundup of the previous year.
For this one I decided to make it personal, my own account of the ups and downs of the year and how they impacted me. It's a different approach but we want to continue to improve and evolve in 2024. So instead of a general chat - let's make something a personal account.
I've created a new playlist for this kind of video. We'll group relevant vids from previous larps and any new personal blog posts there.
Here's the look back at 2023
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqkp7...
And here is the new playlist which should improve as time goes on
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wqkp7...
The other change is that I'll try to use the posts system to keep you updated from this point on.

Welcome to LARPBook we explore larp.
The LARPBook project to create where lapers can compare notes
We are based in the UK, but international in attitude. LARPBook believes that larpers the world over can teach each other things.
Like larp itself, you'll find that the LARPBook project has many sides.
There is a website at: larpbook.com/
We have feeds on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Just search for LARPBook.
And of course, there is this ever-expanding collection of larp videos.
Finally if you like larp photographs (and prints - or gifts like key-rings or mugs) then check out www.kashikoimages.com/Larp there's a growing range of images there.
We hope you like these and please get in touch if you have something to ask or say.
