The new RSV personal size Bible in the Sovereign Collection is a fine edition. The Sovereigns are always well designed and give their respective translations the honor they deserve. With its rich history among English translations I think this edition of the RSV is fantastic.

I canā€™t wait to see how the latest leather option from Holman breaks in. This calfskin is so smooth! Iā€™m curious how it will react to scratches and wear over time. Holman has definitely stepped up their premium game, adding an Oxford hollow to this edition (a major problem in past Handcrafted Bibles Iā€™ve seen). At just over $100 this is one of the best premium bibles you can get for the money.

The Prime NASB Reference Bible is a fantastic edition. As the first in the premium line from Lockman it had a few unique kinks to work out, but overall it was the perfect launch of a great top end Bible that will last for years to come.

I have had a great time over the last few years studying for my bachelorā€™s degree. It hasnā€™t always been easy but itā€™s definitely rewarding! The time Iā€™ve spent digging into Scripture and reading about theology and Christian history has greatly enriched my love of God and His word. In case youā€™re wondering Iā€™m graduating this May (Lord willing) and so have spent considerable time working on my final paper and last classes. The Bible reviews and thoughts will continue to pop up but itā€™s not because of neglect that they may not be on time!

And yes, my final paper has to do with predestination/election.

The ESV Thinline is one of my favorite Bibles. What makes it even better is that there is a compact version! The ESV compact is the exact same block layout in smaller packaging!

The Sovereign Collection from Thomas Nelson is truly a beautiful line of bibles! It really brings a breath of history to a modern printing of Gods word.

The new NKJV ultra Thinline from Thomas Nelson is quite the compact. Well, technically itā€™s not small, but it makes up for any size constraints in its thickness. At 3/4ā€ it is truly a Thinline Bible, all the while maintaining an 8 point comfort print. Definitely a Bible designed to be taken places! Pictured here are the Ultra Thinline in black leathersoft and the Value Ultra Thinline in charcoal.

Finished up my first order this weekend. A well loved ESV Thinline is now back in service! Was able to use a new color combo which Iā€™ve wanted to try for a while (Walnut Badalassi Carlo with black lambskin liner). This is a 2002 ESV so one of the earlier ones. Itā€™s a glued binding but as you can see in the last picture it lays very flat and has held up exceptionally well.
