Here are some evidence from the Qur'an and Hadith that emphasize the importance of reading the Qur'an with Tajweed:
Qur'anic Evidence:
1. "And recite the Qur'an with Tarteel (in a slow and distinct manner)" [Al-Qiyamah: 75:16]
2. "Those who recite the Book of Allah with Tarteel, and establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, secretly and publicly, they hope for a trade that will never perish" [Fatir: 35:29]
Prophetic Evidence (Hadith):
1. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "The one who recites the Qur'an with Tarteel, and in a beautiful voice, will be among the noble scribes (in Jannah)" [Tirmidhi]
2. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Beautify the Qur'an with your voices, for the Qur'an was revealed with beauty" [Abu Dawud]
3. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "The Qur'an was revealed with Tarteel, so recite it with Tarteel" [Ahmad]
These verses and hadiths emphasize the importance of reciting the Qur'an with Tajweed, which includes:
- Tarteel (slow and distinct recitation)
- Beautiful voice
- Correct pronunciation
- Observing the rules of Tajweed
By following these guidelines, one can recite the Qur'an in a way that pleases Allah and benefits the reciter.
