I need your opinion...

Just finished scripting a video comparing Brisbane and Sydney as a place to live in 2024 (and yes, I'm still chipping away at the next Then/Now video as well).

I'm thinking of doing a series of comparison videos, so if you could pick one city anywhere in the world for me to compare with Brisbane, what would it be?

Hey all. Hope those of you that live here in the river city are enjoying the run of sunny days we've been enjoying!

Just a quick post to let you all know I'm working on the next Brisbane Then & Now video. It'll take a little while to complete, but i think it'll be a cracker!

I've posted a video sneak peak of one of the transitions (from Adelaide Street) for channel members at the Insider and Elite Contributor levels.

A few things that are in the works for THE Brisbane Channel that I thought I'd share, along with my current situation and how it affects the content on the channel...

I'm planning another "Brisbane Then & Now" video, using photos from this collection online: www.flickr.com/photos/130648318@N06/albums/7215765…. I've contacted the photographer, and will get started on that as soon as I hear back from him.

I've begun contacting people and organisations for a video on the homelessness situation in Brisbane, which will be quite an involved video. A lot of work and time will go into this one, but it should produce a really interesting video.

In my non-YouTube life, I'm wrapping up editing for the final short documentary film that is part of my PhD, and am also very close to completing my thesis. That means that for the next few weeks, I'll be focusing on creating videos that don't require too much time and effort while I focus on uni stuff. But it also means that very soon, I'll have the time and ability to put more effort into the channel again. I have some really great videos planned, but I just don't have the resources (mostly time and mental bandwidth) to work on them yet, but I'm excited that it won't be long before I can really get into working on them!

I'm also thinking about how to create some videos that are more entertaining, rather than just being informative but a little dull...

THE Brisbane Channel did a video on Artforce a while back. Watch it to find out how you can join in: https://youtu.be/aOvusvlW60s

An update for the few who watched the video about the possum joey we tried to reunite with its mother. Since then, I have seen both of them alive and well. The joey is no longer a joey, and last time I saw it, was almost as big as its mother.

Here's a link to the video, in case you missed it: https://youtu.be/np6t-qjq1fE
