Hello! It doesn't matter if I'm busy or not. What matters is:
Ask me to remix ANYTHING!
ANY game or show. ANY music track. ANY complexity.
Where you can ask:
β
In the comments of this YouTube comm post.
β
In Discord DM. My username is: liledix4
β
Anywhere in Discord servers where you can find me.
β
On Twitter/X: x.com/liledix4
β
On Bluesky: bsky.app/profile/liledix.com
β
On Instagram: instagram.com/liledix4
β
On Telegram channel: t.me/liledix4
There is one problem though. I'm not sure about how we all can properly meet together online so that I could share WIPs with you while I'm working on things. Some of you aren't even using Discord, that's partially problematic β but if you have for example Twitter or Bluesky, it's fine for me.
There are two steps of how I'm working on remixes:
Step 1: Transcription. I need to reproduce the melodies of the original tracks. There may be some failures if it's too complex, but nothing to worry about and nothing impossible :P
Step 2: Modification. If music track is recreated, I can change/twist melodies and add arrangements.
Best works will be uploaded to YouTube channel, and β collabs are welcome! I can work with anyone π
If you want to remind me of things I should've done a long time ago, like Penny's Pursuit Theme (which is not a remix, but anyway) β GO AHEAD!
Lastly. Everything is free. Still, you can join the membership (it's like Patreon but on YouTube) ONLY if you're up to supporting the channel with penny (I don't ask for it!): youtube.com/@liledix4/join

Well, the current state of YouTube is pretty unfortunate, it really sucks. But tbh, Odysee is the only close candidate for an alternative and I know that not many people will move there. So whatever the hell happens here on YouTube, there's no choice but stay.
I just saw so many people deciding to leave YouTube or even boycott it, but I have a question: where are y'all going to move anyway? There isn't much of a choice.
P.S. I'm not turning off monetization and memberships. I know it partially helps YouTube itself, but let's be real, it would be more foolish than heroic to kill my livelihood.

Recently I had a thought about βart commission botsβ.
I think you might be familiar with that situation where randomly some unknown person DMs you (and maybe even sends friend request on Discord) and that person asks if youβre interested in commissioning some art.
You may even have a common Discord server with that person, and it turns out that they joined that server the SAME DAY they DMed you, and that server has like over 5K members β meaning that they DIDNβT DM you manually. Itβs impossible. It must be a bot that sends DMs to many people at once, and only when you RESPOND, actual person starts talking to you (but sometimes even that is questionable, given what AI chatbots are capable of nowadays).
So, I donβt really care about bots themselves β you can just block them and call it a day.
What really worries me a bit is this:
There are many artists for whom commissions are a living. They donβt spread the word about themselves in DMs, instead they expect social media algorithms to do the job, not to mention genuine reposts, reviews, participation in events, collaborations.
Itβs not perfect, I know, but at least itβs the most fair thing they can do online.
Whereas those bots are affecting the reputation of those artists in a negative way. Bots create bad perception of the artists as βpoor people who beg for work and moneyβ.
And while in some cases itβs even true, there really are some artists who critically need money and they canβt get enough attention to their work due to the lack of quality, algorithm problems or some other reasons β using bots is not a noble act in this situation. Does it help? I somehow donβt think so. Relying on bots to get more commissions screams to me like an avoidance of the glaring problem: incapacity for drawing attention and fear of being outperformed by more successful artists.
If you want to work, put an effort.
Just play fair, please.

Hmm. Here's a thought about Spotify in 2025.
I remember, a while back there were a number of comments where people were wondering if any track would be dropped on Spotify.
At that moment, the biggest problem was the difficulty of dealing with distribution services: for various reasons, they just rejected my requests to publish tracks on Spotify, YouTube Music, Apple Music and some other streaming platforms.
But that problem has been overridden by a more unpleasant one. Spotify now regularly finds itself in AI slop dramas. So while Spotify as a service is (still) very user-friendly, their encouraging attitude towards AI content doesn't strike me as good, and I highly doubt I'd get any significant benefit from showing up on Spotify.
So, I guess this is goodbye to Spotify.
As for YouTube (not YT Music), I have no reason to leave. π Yes, there's a big AI slop infestation here too, but as long as there are still people who find value in human-produced content, I'll keep doing what I've been doing.
In fact, I want to try my hand at gradually reworking the entire PvZ 2 Reflourished soundtrack in my interpretation, including the original PvZ 2 soundtrack - but that's just a random thought, I'm not going to get too worked up about it just yet, unless it turns out there's a lot of interest from you guys. π

It's been my bday on May 30, and I've given myself a present: a new laptop. So at this moment I'm moving all data from old PC to new laptop. It may take a while, but things are getting better, thank goodness.
Anyway. Dunno how many ppl here watch Doctor Who (I watched all of it and I keep watching it as soon as new episodes drop).
But. Yesterday, season finale dropped, and I had a feeling that the public opinion would not be in favor of the new 16th Doctor, among other controversial things. People would claim that the show reached its lowest point. I want to say this: I don't want to care about what others think. It's been way too long that I was finding elements to enjoy in EVERY single episode and it always happened that there are people online who didn't like those elements or were indifferent to them (due to the main problem of the episode shifting the whole focus). At this point, I don't want to be a part of online DW fandom, cuz I still enjoy the show and they seemingly not so much. Maybe we watch the show too differently β I'd love supporting the pluralism, but I guess I'm in a minority.
I guess that's the case with every fandom. You enjoy or keep enjoying something, and once you go online to see what others think, there are always killjoys, especially in the comments. It's okay to share opinions, but when it's not the piece of entertainment itself but public opinions online that kill the enjoyment, there is something wrong about online communities as a concept. And maybe it's only good to embrace the lack of online presence. When you don't have energy to engage with people online who don't have the same views as you or are not willing to accept your views, perhaps it's okay to consume the product on your own.
Admittedly, I can be a killjoy too in some occasions, especially when it comes to PvZ (cuz feelings about the state of PvZ as a franchise and a fandom were mixed and complicated), but I never really thought that being a killjoy is alright. Being a killjoy is a problem to work with. It needs fixing.

BvS update. I'm dropping the whole soundtrack that was created so far, old and new, to βͺ@Bv.Sβ¬, right now and one by one, as soon as the videos are created.
Pretty sure I'll catch up on so-called "Legacy" soundtrack so that I could move on to remasters and entirely new works (so many plans... FYI, Industrial Revolution soundtrack is planned).
Cogs are spinning!
P.S. I remember about the script for a "voice reveal" video, it's 98% written, but preparations for job hunting pushed it away. I'll return to it.
