In a way she’s right and wrong. Yes Nepotism does run rampant in medical education, but the hoops that have to be jumped through to become a doctor (medical school, boards, and residency) are very different from the hoops she jumped through. She’s like 5’1 and is able to work as a model for big name luxury brands. Your hot shot doctor daddy can’t pay your way into good grades for all of medical school, residency, and fellowship. Whereas, she can literally just skate on opportunities and recognition just because of who her dad is.
So yea the privilege is existent in both but the overall comparison falls flat just because if she was literally any one else’s daughter that same amount of “hard work” would not get her in the door, or even near the building. In medicine, if you want to work in the same field as your dad, you still have to rise to the occasion with objectively good/decent grades. And at some point who your dad is won’t even matter if you don’t already have the work ethic to maintain your knowledge & skill set.
100% agree... who ur daddy is don't mean shit
