As you know, I've been in an exchange with Michael Jones of ‪@InspiringPhilosophy‬ . When I sat down with scholars ‪@DigitalHammurabi‬ & ‪@DrKippDavis‬ to examine his many erroneous and controversial claims - claims he makes while mocking actual scholars and being presented as an authoritative figure - Michael dismissed us as being obsessed with him and pedantic. But when I later released a video where I explicitly said I wouldn't be fact-checking him (since I had done so previously) and would instead focus on how he's presented as an authority while making controversial claims without transparency, Michael expressed upset because I didn't address his claims... This, ladies and gentlemen, is known as a double bind.

Recently, Michael has pulled a similar move on Derek Lambert of MythVision Podcast. When Derek made a documentary-based video criticising Michael's presentation as an authority on stage, and especially his claims relating to Dionysus, Michael suggested Derek was being dishonest because he didn't tackle the whole speech. Well, now Derek has tackled the entire speech (even though doing so doesn't change his original objection) and has, rather brutally, revealed that Michael's own source contradicts him... I wonder, what next will be Michael's reason to handwave away criticism? An accusation of Derek being obsessed? Will he just ignore the criticism he receives? Will he take the David Wood approach of mockery (how very Christian, by the way)? In this video, you'll see three and a half hours of going through every point with fine detail on what Michael got right and wrong.

In this week's episode of Low Fruit, featuring the illustrious ‪@HolyKoolaid‬, we take on the worst Christian defence from "best apologist"—William Lane Craig. Defending the horrific actions commanded by God in the Bible is a tall order... can Bill pull it off?

What's up, my fellow apes? I’m considering creating an episode about some of history’s most famous figures who were accused of atheism. The focus would be on why they were accused, the cultural, political and religious motives behind the accusations, and what happened to them.

For example, take David Hume—his philosophical works questioned religious dogma, earning him accusations of atheism, even though his writings were more about scepticism than outright denial of the divine.

Would you find this topic interesting? Let me know your thoughts!

I've been a massive UFC fan since way back, even when Republicans like McCain were trying to ban it as "human cockfighting" (I got into it at the age of 9!). But man, watching what happened at UFC 309 recently has me shaking my head. Remember all those complaints about "keeping politics out of sports"? Funny how that works - suddenly, it's totally fine when Trump shows up, and the whole event turns into a political rally.
