It's taken me some time to learn to not be easily impressed by what people show me on social media.
โ That car people brag about they sometimes can barely afford.
โ All the money screenshots they post mean nothing if theyโve helped no one except themselves.
โ All the smiling selfies on the beach donโt always tell the whole story.
๐๐ก๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐ฌ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ ๐๐ฌ๐ค ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฐ ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ:
โ Have they actually helped people or only helped themselves? (99% have only helped themselves)
โ Do they actually add value or just brag about how much money they make daily?
โ Do they represent your core values and beliefs?
People easily get impressed by money screenshots or what people buy. (which can be easily faked)
Someoneโs lifestyle doesnโt help you one bit.

My mentor brags about his students success because we are crushing it and that is what truly matters to him.
๐๐ก๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐จ๐ซ ๐โ๐ฏ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ ๐ก๐๐ฌ ๐ช๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐๐ฌ ๐ ๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ค๐:
โ He cares about the customers. ๐ฏ
โ The ability to teach me to level up my thinking in my personal life and business.
โ He is family oriented and very balanced in his personal life which is something I want for myself.
โ He is motivated by impacting others more than how much money he can make for himself.
โ He is very direct, doesn't sugar coat things, and will call me out on my BS. This forces me to constantly play big and stop making excuses.
By surrounding myself with people like this their beliefs, values, and morals rubbed off on me.
So when looking for someone to learn from donโt look for someone who posts money screenshots on social media.
This is not helpful to you one bit.
Sure, it motivates you for what is possible, but generally, it makes you feel worse that you don't know how to create those types of results.
Make sure theyโre a good person and can help you level up in your life.
For the final note I want to touch on here is never go to a mentor with the attitude of โhelp meโ for free. This is basically saying โI donโt respect your timeโ.
Never expect your mentor to do the work, to constantly motivate you and make you feel good.
A real mentor will not tolerate your small-minded thinking, they will call you out when you make excuses and they will expect you to play full out to your full potential.
Someone who just posts cute quotes and makes you feel good at the moment is not a mentor.
Motivation is very short-lived.
You want to surround yourself with a mentor who will push you to grow up, level up, and take action to reach the goals you set for yourself.
