Just a quick heads-up, everyone:
I haven’t been very active on the server or social media lately because I’ve been deep in work, rebuilding the resource and task system from the ground up. As many of you know, the current system is prone to bugs, so I’m overhauling it completely. The new version will use actual chests placed in the world as part of buildings. In the meantime, check out some screenshots I’ve already reimplemented the buildings and pawns HUD! More information, more suitable ot mincraft inreface.

MineFortress 1.17.0-beta - Pawns Get Smarter! (Plus Keybinds & More)
Hi everyone!
This update is focused on making MineFortress more fun and less frustrating by overhauling some older mechanics and fixing key bugs.
What's new:
- No More Forced Manual Pawn Selection! Pawns now automatically take on tasks. Manual assignment is still an option for specific needs.,
- Reliable Blueprint Building: Pawns should get stuck much less when building your blueprints.,
- Custom Keybinds: All MineFortress actions can now be rebound in the standard controls menu.,
- Better Tree Chopping: Trees are felled more reliably, and leaves will no longer be left floating. Placing a campfire also clears nearby trees.,
Also: The number of usable furnaces now depends on your Blacksmith count, and the Craftsman profession requires logs instead of crafting table. The old help screen is temporarily gone. Numerous other bug fixes have been implemented for stability, resource management, and UI responsiveness.

Working on the quality of life update. There were some poor game design decisions in the past that I am trying to fix right now:
Selecting pawns every time to do any task have moved the game play away from dwarf fortress to classic RTS, that doesn't play well with the rest of features. So in the next update that will be optional! By default any free worker will take the task and only if you want you will be able to select some pawns directly.
Finally moving all keybindings from hardcoded values to the settings. So you will be able to rebind all buttons as you wish.
Removed hard cap on the amount of selected blocks. While it prevented crashes on some devices, it's generally annoying feature
Also my plans are:
make buildings houses more casual, so the villagers won't get stuck and won't die
once you place the campfire it will cleanup some forests around the campfire making the start smoother
fixing how chopping trees works
All this in the next update. so stay tuned!
p.s. for anyone wondering, I just asked ChatGPT to generate image. Though I hope that eventually we will have similar bases built with MineFortress

MineFortress 1.16.0-beta – Villagers skin for your Pawns!
Trying to be persistent with the schedule and brining another update to you. This one mostly focusing on the pawns skins. Also I am finally brining some exclusive content for Patrons!
What's new:
- Added villager skin customization with 5 available skins: Villager, Zombie, Zombie Villager, Headless, Steve
- Introduced a new menu that appears when creating a world to configure your pawns' skin.
- Fixed a crash that occurred when starting a server.
- Made small bugfixes to improve overall stability.

MineFortress 1.15.0-beta - Roam your Fortress!
I had a lot more features planned for this release, but since I promised to stick to a more predictable release schedule, I decided to go ahead and ship this smaller update. It mainly focuses on cleaning up some annoying game design decisions and fixing a few bugs.
What's new:
- Craftsman unlocked as soon as you place your campfire
- Switch between survival and fortress mode at the campfire
- More reasonable villager capacities for blueprints
- Professions are now hired directly in buildings – and you'll need to pay for each hired unit. No more confusion about who to hire and how!
