The Format Painter is a useful tool that allows you to copy formatting from one selection to another in Microsoft Office applications. Here's how to use it in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint:

MS Word:

1. Select the text with the formatting you want to copy.
2. Click on the "Format Painter" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon, or press Ctrl+Shift+C (Windows) or Command+Shift+C (Mac).
3. Select the text you want to apply the formatting to.

MS Excel:

1. Select the cell or range of cells with the formatting you want to copy.
2. Click on the "Format Painter" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon, or press Ctrl+Shift+C (Windows) or Command+Shift+C (Mac).
3. Select the cell or range of cells you want to apply the formatting to.

MS PowerPoint:

2. Click on the "Format Painter" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon, or press Ctrl+Shift+C (Windows) or Command+Shift+C (Mac).

Note: In all three applications, you can also double-click on the Format Painter button to apply the formatting to multiple selections without having to reselect the original formatting each time.
