Welcome to Midwest Center for Joint Replacement, the office of Drs Michael E. Berend, Richard W. Jackson, Wesley G. Lackey, and Joshua L. Carter.
Our office is located just across from Decatur Central High School on SR-67. We perform outpatient surgeries at Midwest Specialty Surgery Center located on the 1st floor of the same building where our office is located. We also perform inpatient surgeries at Franciscan Hospital in Mooresville, Indiana.
The surgeons at Midwest Center for Joint Replacement specialize in hip, knee, and partial knee replacement, as well as general orthopaedic surgery for shoulder, hand, foot, and ankle disorders.
Because our surgeons use modern anesthesia techniques and a multi-model approach to pain control, total hip and total knee replacements can be performed as outpatient procedures. Joint replacements used to require a week in the hospital, but now, 60% of our patients are home within 6 hours.
