This brings to an end the over 60-year discrimination Kenyans from Northern Kenya and other border counties have been subjected to. This has been done without compromising the integrity of our national security and sovereignty."

MP Peter Kaluma: "President Uhuru ensured that 90% of infrastructure projects and funding went to only one region of Kenya. We won't develop one region of Kenya at the expense of others. [Nation, April 8 2017] In the famous 1946 picture of Jomo Kenyatta with top officials of Kenya African Union (KAU), there was an unidentified Somali man who sat on the front row with his legs crossed
For decades, the identity of this mysterious man - who funded KAU and later Mau Mau - has been a matter of debate since no one seemed to know his name
In the national debate of freedom fighters, the tall man with immaculate looks hardly features.
"Hassan was targeted by the colonial government because of the support that he gave to Mau Mau," former Juja MP Mr Gitu Kahengeri recounted during an interview with the Nation newspaper.
