My thoughts on HTTYD LA *SPOILERS BELOW, LOOK AWAY IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SPOILED*
I am so happy with how the movie turnes out. It still kept true to the original movie. The Cgi, the acting and the action scenes was amazing to witness here are a few notable parts of the movie i liked.
1: Toothless Vs Hookfang. That was an amazing scene to watch and it felt a little longer than the animated version.
2: Every Monstrous Nightmare scene. THAT is a beautiful dragon design and model(somewhat gives me a Smaug type of vibe).
Hookfang chasing hiccup in the dome scene was as good as it was in the animated movie imo.The Monstrous Nightmare actually felt huge, as it should since the original was a 15 ft tall 60 ft long colossus.
3: The Really fitting original noises the dragons made. We all know the iconic classic dragon roars, but some sounds they made was completely original but still made the dragons sound cool and similar to there animated counterparts.
4: One of the biggest suprises to me. The appearances of: The Skrill, The Scauldron?, The SeaShocker?, The Raincutter, and The Rumblehorn.
5: The Red Death's Colossal Size close ups compared to Stoick and Gobber, she looks and feels way bigger(prob not) than her 1st incarnation.
6: The Red Death instead of sucking Stormfly into her mouth, she commands her to fly into her mouth to be eaten.
Here are my ratings of the Designs of the dragons.

Night Fury: 7.5/10, a solid design for toothless. Some shots looked somewhat goofy but great.
Deadly Nadder: 6/10, its mainly just the face, it looks pretty thin, awkward in some shots similar to Toothless
Hideous Zippleback: 9/10, gorgeous model, an amazing design for the zippleback, only held back by its rather shorter and thicker necks.
Monstrous Nightmare: 10/10, a walking beauty, despite having no long hooked teeth the original had, it was such a terrifying looking dragon, looked huge, and powerful, an excellent design.
Gronckle: 2/10, my poor baby meatlug. Absolutely ruined in my eyes, claimed to be Tough and Ferocious but looked like a pug with a type of skin disease, only thing keeping me from saying 0/10 is her wings.
Red Death: 5/10, ngl not the biggest fan of her look. I giant Ankylosaurus body and tail with a Styracosaurus Head and Hot Red color. It look ok to me
Terrible Terror: 9.5/10, A winged Chameleon. Peak idc.

These are Dragons i cant exactly give ratings too as i barely saw them with 1exception.
Skrill: as of rn a 4?/10, i couldnt exactly see it fully in shots as its 1 of many background dragons to be filler for space, it had a striking similarity to the animated skrill for its body shape.
Rumblehorn: ???/10, only saw it for 3 scenes and less than 5 seconds of screentime in each scene.
Scauldron?: ???/10, only appeared in 2 shots for less than 5 seconds, couldnt exactly tell if it was since it only showed its back but it was a lime green color.
Raincutter?: ???/10, i saw the unmistakable shape of a Raincutter, rounded body, long thin neck with a long rectangular-ish head, but it only was a silhouette for 1 shot. So i cant give it a rating.

Here are a few things that looked or sounded odd.
1: Toothless randomly making a Jp Trex noise when flying
2: Stoick hitting a somewhat dab when congratulating hiccup in dragon training??
3: Gronckle design (lol)
4: The Skrills constent background appearance. Originally according to the shows said to be very rare to spot and yet its always flying or sitting in the background just....there, doing nothing, not making any noise.
5: Red Death barely made any of the iconic roars (like 3 times)

Overall, amazing movie, i definetly will be back for the 2nd live action movie
