3 basic rules how to catch (big) pike
1. Cast your lure/bait close to obstacles such as old trees, reeds or weeds. Pike always seek for hideout or cover to attack small fish with one short and aggressive move.
2. Choose a big bait for big pike, especially in the autumn. Big fish won’t lose its energy for a tiny prey. Retrieve slowly and occasionally stop or twitch.
3. Discover even tiny streams and channels and better start pike fishing from “readable” waters such as rivers or small lakes. Large waters require additional equipment: boat, sonar etc..
