Canon invited me to break the new Canon R5 Mark II, did I succeed?

Since the Canon 5D Mark II, I have been working as a professional Fashion photographer. If you donโt know which camera that is, I feel old ๐ But for those who do know the camera, youโll remember just how incredibly good it was. This was the much-improved version of the Canon 5D, and in my eyes, the 5D Mark II was the true 5D.

Is the Canon R5 Mark II the same for the R5? YES!!!!

For those who follow me on YouTube, you know I travel the world as a hybrid wedding photographer and videographer. I push my two Canon R5 cameras to their limits. And sometimes, frustration kicks in because I want more than the camera can deliver.

So, I tried to do the same with the Canon R5 Mark II. What did I test?
- Low light: model photos and video were shot at 6400 ISO
- Image stabilization: the R5MKII no longer has the warm wobble effect.
- Speed: the R5MKII is much faster.
- Buffer: the R5MKII has no buffer issues when switching from photo to video.
- Backlight: thanks to the updated tracking system, backlight is less of a problem.

Right in the heart of Rotterdam, in the rain, we decided to do the photo and video shoot, because, why not? Emily & Yannic were eager to have an urban shoot in downtown Rotterdam, but it was quite rainy. Nevertheless, we decided to take the risk and approach it with a positive attitude, hoping for some dry moments. And it resulted in epic shots. The photos and the wedding film feel like a romantic movie.

Lightroom Hack: FASTEST way to REMOVE MAGENTA Color in LIGHTROOM
Of course, this is not a real Hack, because this is exactly what Lightroom was made for. But it does sound a lot more exciting.
In this video, I teach you how to fix a photo with an extreme unwanted magenta (also called pink) color cast in 5 minutes. A magenta color cast is a problem for many photographers because it cannot be solved with white balance. In fact, you have to use the tone curve to recover your color.
