People who will be going for electives soon. Do you have ANY IDEA what to expect and what you should do to secure strong LORs? Well honestly, I DIDN'T. I was clueless !!

JOURNEY UPDATE: I Booked my Step 3 at very short notice due to some reasons that I'll share in future videos! 🥲 The next couple of weeks will be a marathon as I prepare for it and plan to fly back to the US in the last week of January. Also, would you be interested in joining me for the study sessions on YouTube Live? The plan is #4WeeksStep3In 😂

Quick update: a lot of you voted for the USCE guide video, but I couldn't record it in time. So, it's going to be a little late. 🥲

But I've got the Hopkins VLOG all ready to go. This is by far the most effort I had to put into any video because I had to edit it twice to include some old clips from 2018. What do you think, should I upload that one tomorrow while I'm still working on the USCE guide? Let me know 😇

Hey everyone, I’ve been getting a lot of messages through my last video asking if the USMLE process is tough and whether it’s worth continuing. I just wanted to clear things up. My video was meant to shed light on the challenges, but it’s important to remember that historically, about 60% of Non-US IMGs (International Medical Graduates) have successfully matched in Internal Medicine.

I emphasized the number of interviews because stats show that receiving more than 8 invitations usually leads to a match rate of over 90%. However, it’s still possible to match with just one interview, as long as you perform well. I’m putting my all into the few interviews I’ve secured, aiming to give my best shot at matching.

This year has been particularly tough for those needing visas, but we still have two months left in this season. I’m staying optimistic and trusting the process. I’ve been open about my journey so far and promise to share the outcome in March with complete transparency.

Again, I want to emphasize that the process is challenging but not impossible. If you’re truly passionate, focus on achieving the best scores, engaging in research, and gaining US clinical experience. Then, trust the process. Wishing everyone the best of luck and sending cheers your way!
