Hey! We are an ordinary couple that applied for the opportunity to buy a new Ford GT, and got chosen by Ford for an allocation.
A highlight of my Automotive Engineering career was to actually be a part of the team at Ford, working in the secret basement, to bring this car to the racetrack and to production. The challenges we faced with timing, technical, regulatory, etc. were immense. The team we had was nothing short of an amazingly talented bunch of people that "got it".
Getting the privilege to buy one was quite a shock. The journey has been incredible, with a career move, selling our home, moving to California, all a part of making this dream a reality.
