Not all playgrounds are created equal. Growing up in Nelson, Trace Cooke grew up playing on the slopes of Whitewater as a kid. That upbringing did well for him as he became one of the world's top freeski competitors on the Freeride World Tour.
Tomorrow we will release the next installment of "Elevated, in BC" where Trace takes us around Nelson and Whitewater and we see just how he's shaped by such an incredible backyard playground. Stay tuned!

Mirae Campbell uses images to tell stories. She rides at Whistler Blackcomb, where the natural landscape is a canvas in the kinetic artform of snowboarding. Merging passion with skill, she has made a livelihood out of her passion by taking pictures in the mountains around Whistler.

Josh Dueck has grown up in the mountains with skiing in his blood. A life-altering accident changed how he skis, but not his passion for the sport. He has won a gold and two silver medals for Canada at the Paralympics, and was the first sit-ski athlete to land a backflip back in 2012.
SilverStar is Josh's home mountain, and tomorrow we will be featuring him in our third installment of Elevated, In British Columbia. Check back tomorrow to see Josh tear up the powder stashes of SilverStar, and see why he likens skiing to "Playing on the shoulders of clouds".
