Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate India's first Vande Metro train between Bhuj and Ahmedabad on September 16, 2024 along with six other trains.

The Ahmedabad Junction, also known as Kalupur Railway Station, will be temporarily closed for redevelopment in a phased manner on the following dates:
Platforms 7, 8, and 9 will be closed from November 15, 2024, to February 15, 2025.
Platforms 5 & 6 will be closed between February 15, 2025, and May 15, 2025.
Platforms 1 & 2 will be closed between May 15, 2025, and August 12, 2025.
Platforms 3 & 4 will be closed between August 12, 2025, and November 10, 2025.
Trains will be shifted to stations like Sabarmati, Asarva, Maninagar, Vatva, and Ghandhinagar during the redevelopment period.
