RDX Sports began its operations out of Bury in Greater Manchester, England on 24th February 1999, as a small-scale retailer producing bespoke gloves for Brit fighters. Recognizing hand sizes and strength varied based on genetics of each region, RDX began designing specific gloves for Brit fighters and their body types. This was RDX’s “fighter centric” model upon which they based their penetration strategy to enter Europe – “Fighter Safety over Everything Else”.
By 2004, RDX expanded their UK base of operations from a small-scale producer of specialized sports goods to manufacturing a wide range of contact sports equipment, setting up warehouses in Houston Texas, America and Bury Greater Manchester, UK with distribution lines running into Australia, Americas and Europe.
